We interviewed power woman Lynsday Doran, Founder and CEO of L’Couture Collections, a Dubai based activewear and lifestyle brand. L’Couture Collections is the product of Lynsday passion for fitness and fashion.
Lyndsay’s lifestyle change led her to want to buy active wear that would look and feel good in her day-to-day activities. Such outfits were hard to find. So, in November 2018, she launched her own line and embarked on the journey to create a brand for the everyday LCGirl.
How long have you lived in Dubai and what made you move here?
I have lived in Dubai for 9 years, I moved when I was 21. I was looking for a fresh start and a new career.
Women empowerment – what are your thoughts on it?
Super important, at L’Couture our aim is to empower women and have them look and feel good in what they are wearing as they conquer the world or the gym. Our main goal is for our LC Girls to feel empowered in what they wear, whatever they are doing. We want women to feel the best version of themselves while living an active and confident lifestyle.
Favorite clothing stores?
I am definitely more of an online shopper. Some of my favorites are House of CB, Meshki and White Fox.
Who inspires you?
Conna Walker, Founder of house of CB. What she has achieved at a young age is incredible.
What advice would you give your younger self?
I have no regrets in life, I would maybe just tell myself that anything is possible because I truly believe that.
What’s next for L’Couture?
We have a really exciting year in store. The brand has grown from strength to strength. We have lots of amazing new collections and products launching which are our best yet. We are also expanding our in-house team, it is super important to me to have the best team of people around me who can take the brand to the next level. Watch this space!
