“I honestly think it’s so important in this world to support each other, build girls up instead of knocking them down” – Microblading Specialist, Danielle Doherty

What do you do for work?
I originally moved to Dubai to work for Emirates, to travel and live in a different country and get some life experience. I have recently teamed up with Yinyang salon to be the microblading specialist at their salon.

Tell us about your brow background?
I studied in college to be a beauty therapist in Ireland, my first salon after being qualified  was “the brow boutique “in Dublin. They sent me on a HD Brow course in Northern Ireland where I was lucky enough to be trained by Nilam Holems who is the founder and creator of HD brows and this is where my love for brows began. I then trained to do microblading in Dubai, which was something I had wanted to do for so long and worked really hard over the last few years to build up my clients and a good reputation for brows in Dubai .

What’s your greatest achievement?
I would say my biggest achievement is moving to a new country on my own which I was terrified to do, working hard and making a successful life here for myself.

Women empowerment – what are your thoughts on it?
I honestly think it’s so important in this world to support each other, build girls up instead of knocking them down, life is hard at the best of times. I’m a girls girl, we have to all support each other in this crazy world (especially 2020 lol!) Nothing makes me more happy than seeing people doing well for themselves and smashing goals.

Favourite clothing stores?
I am a number one fan of Beach City clothing brand here, they also save me last minute with next day delivery, LOVE all their stock. Zara is also a long time favorite which I’m sure every girl can relate to.

Who inspires you?
My number one inspiration will always be my dad. He is the most hardworking person I know and built a successful business up from the ground. He worked 7 days a week morning and night to get to where he is and to give us a good life growing up and I have always just thought that is exactly what I want to do. I like to think I got my hard working business attitude from my dad.

Secondly, the three lovely sisters who own “The Brow Boutique“ in Dublin have always been my role models for my beauty career. They originally started off exactly how I did working from home and now have four successful salons in Dublin after a lot of blood sweat and tears over the years.I have always been inspired by them, their hard work ethic and success .

What advice would you give to your younger self?
I would probably say to believe in yourself and always go with your gut feeling it’s always right.
