Summer getaways – where you can fly right now from Dubai!

Summer is well and truly underway, and don’t we know it? Yes it’s that time of year where we produce sweat from parts of our bodies that we didn’t think were of capable of doing so.

With global covid restrictions still in place for some of our favourite holiday getaways, where can you still travel at the moment without quarantine measures in place either side? Check out our helpful list below and assume that a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours is required for flying and of course to return back to Dubai. As restrictions are constantly changing, check with your airline for up to date information.

  1. The Maldives

Yes there’s a reason that everyone and their best friend has been posting the crystal clear waters of the Maldives for the past 6 months and that’s because you can fly there quarantine free.

  1. Zanzibar

Only a quick hop skip and a jump away from Dubai, Zanzibar has been high on the list for travel this year for Dubai residents.  The island is relatively cheap and a great beachside getaway from Dubai!

  1. Greece

Greece, or as it was temporarily known “the gateway to the UK” due to its green status, is a 5 hour flight from Dubai and currently easily accessible from Dubai.  With Mykonos set to be making a return for the chic party set this year, it’s high on the list of holidaying expats!

  1. Spain

Always a favourite of holidaying tourists, with few restrictions in place for travellers, Spain is a viable option for holidays with the islands such as Ibiza and Mallorca removing their mask mandate completely from the end of this month.

  1. The US

If you really want to fly further afield then the US is currently a viable option and they are living, relatively, restriction free.  New York and LA have both recently lifted all COVID restrictions and we expect that this will roll out across states too.
